The Decatur Economic Development Corporation approved a performance agreement Wednesday for one of the community’s longtime iconic manufacturers to expand.

The Decatur EDC approved an incentive agreement for Entegris POCO Materials to expand its plant in Decatur and add a minimum of 26 jobs in the next two years.

“Entegris/POCO is a longstanding company in Decatur and has employed generations of people locally,” said Decatur EDC Executive Director Kevin Holzbog. “It has impacted the local economy beyond measure.

“Entegris’ investment in Decatur was a choice. There were other locations they could have made the investment. They were confident in our local economy and workforce.”
